Winner of a Favorite Website Award, the Propaganda 3 Experience Site was a collaboration with Propaganda 3 for their website. In it you’re trying to break out of a cookiecutter advertising firm and bring creativity to the world. It was intended as a showpiece for advertising art directors and executives.
Developed in Unity, the tank game was created to show what could be accomplished with web based interactive content.
My duties were level design, creating assets for the bathroom and warehouse sections, preparing all the other assets for use in engine. The art directors chose a restroom, warehouse and sci-fi inspired server room to highlight their offbeat sense of humor. The large air duct drops were used to motivate the loading of levels and keep the player moving forward. We also liked the idea of the seemingly friendly looking robots transforming into smart cannons.
For brevity a lot of the original content was cut to streamline the experience. The air duct sections where going to be more maze like, the warehouse was going to be quite a bit bigger and the server room was going to be populated with more robots and turrets. During development it was decided that those sections would be cut down to distil the experience.
