The Kobelco Beast Bowl was a trade show booth game, in association with InQuest Marketing, utilizing the Kinect. Players threw as many footballs into targets as they could in under 30 seconds to try to score as many points as possible.
Players dropped their hands to their sides to pick up a ball and threw the ball at a set angle of their forearm relative to their upper arm.
Initial layout for client approval.
We added a warmup mode for users to get used to picking up balls and throwing them. This mode was also used during development to train the Kinect on the appropriate time to throw the ball.
On site setup of the game.
At the trade show, the booth was set up outside. A tent was erected around the booth with removeable sides that allowed the operators to block off light from the surrounding area as needed or open it up to attract players.
I gray boxed the stadium, created the field and pipes, laid out the user interface, and converted all assets into Unity.
